Executive Director Brookline High School 21st Century Fund

The Brookline High School 21st Century Fund (The Fund) serves as a catalyst and incubator for innovation in public high school education. The Fund currently offers a great opportunity for a facilitative, development-experienced Executive Director to join and grow our nationally recognized organization, and enable us to make an even deeper impact on the educational achievement and aspirations of our high school students. The Fund, a nonprofit organization located in Brookline, MA, immediately adjacent to Boston, was founded in 1998 by a dedicated group of parents, alumni and philanthropic members of the community, with a goal of serving as a sustainable source of funding for curricular innovation at Brookline High School (BHS). The Fund allows educators to think hard and freely about formidable educational challenges, to design programs that address them, and to conduct research assessing the results — all through the support of private dollars raised by the Fund. Some programs are absorbed into BHS’s budgeted curriculum.

The new Executive Director will take the reins at an important and exciting time in the organization’s development. The board is interested in hiring an organizational leader who, for the first time, will assume the full complement of fund management duties including: fund development, strategic leadership in innovation and programming opportunities, financial development and reporting, communications and marketing, operations and staff management, and relationship building/outreach.
