​The  Center for Story-based Strategy  (CSS) is a national movement-building organization dedicated to harnessing the power of narrative for social change. We offer social justice networks, alliances and organizations the analysis, training and strategic support to change the story on the issues that matter most. Since 2002, we’ve trained over 5,000 change-agents to be transformative story-based strategists. CSS has worked  with over 300 movement organizations to win critical campaigns.

CSS seeks a half-time (.5 FTE / 20 hours per week) Development Coordinator to support the Executive Director in foundation and individual donor fundraising. This is a new position and reports to the Executive Director.

Qualifications and Requirements:
● At least two years experience in foundation fundraising and / or grants management, including managing or working on a daily basis with Salesforce or comparable client relationship management platform
● Ability to prioritize multiple projects, activities and actions with competing deadlines and levels of urgency
● Embody a strong belief in the CSS mission, work within the framework of CSS values and commit to CSS goals and Theory of Change
● Actively participate in meaningful and ongoing dialogue to expedite the fulfillment of agreements and achievement of goals
● Manage and work daily with both a long and short term perspective
● Be challenged, energized, productive, and demonstrate mature self-confidence and grace
● Constantly refocus and re-prioritize work based on new information and/or changing circumstances
● Work effectively and efficiently alone and within teams: self-starter and self-directed while committed to communication and collaboration
● Computer skills and working knowledge of software
