Hartley House is a historic settlement house serving the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood in New York City since 1897. Programs include after school and summer day camp programs for children, support services for neighborhood seniors, creative arts programs for all ages and adult education programs.

The Development Manager is responsible for Hartley House’s fundraising strategy and its implementation which includes raising money from foundations, corporations and individual donors. In collaboration with Hartley House’s Board of Trustees and the Executive Director, s/he will assist in developing strategies for and executing major donor events. The Development Manager will have vision and entrepreneurial energy, as well as a keen eye for detail. S/he will bring to our small development office a hands-on approach combined with the capacity to lead and be part of a team.  The Development Manager will work in partnership with a grant writer.
