University relations cultivates lifelong relationships with alumni, parents, and friends; grows pride in the Wesleyan community; and develops support for university initiatives through outreach activities, including development/fundraising, alumni, and parent relations; career resources for students and alumni; and events, including Homecoming/Family Weekend and Reunion/Commencement.

Research and Prospect Management is the strategic arm of Wesleyan University’s advancement operation, focusing on financial prospect identification and qualification. 
Reporting to the Director of Research and Prospect Management the Development Research Analyst is responsible for providing accurate, timely and relevant information for the potential fundraising cultivation, qualification and engagement of alumni and other Wesleyan constituencies using financial assessment and data-intelligence tools. 

As a critical and strategic partner for the entire University Relations team the Analyst supports the increased need for data-driven decision making, Development Research professionals collaborate with the development team and university leaders to ensure fundraising efforts are focused on working with the right donors, for the right gifts at the right time.

Through the use of research tools and assessment techniques, the Development Research Analyst is required to inform staff of financial or wealth indicators or variances, benchmarking analysis, track prospect activity and ensure that financial information has been properly recorded and evaluated.
