Reprint Permission Policy

The Grassroots Fundraising Journal Reprint Permission Policy applies to all articles published in the the Journal as well as other publications put out by Grassroots Fundraising, including content on this website.

Use of printed or photocopied articles within your organization, at Board meetings, or at small seminars for which no fee is being charged is permitted free of charge. Please indicate the source clearly on each copy, using the following text:

We do not allow distribution of article PDFs and other electronic versions of articles or text excerpts. Distribution includes such activities as placing the files on file-sharing networks, making them available online, e-mailing them, or making any electronic copies except for backup purposes. Permission to distribute electronic versions of articles is rarely granted.

If you wish to reproduce articles in quantities of 25 or more, use an article in a class or training requiring participants to pay a fee, or reprint an article in a publication, you must obtain explicit permission.

In such circumstances we typically charge a reprint fee of $30 per article and ask that you include the following text clearly on the front of each copy:

To request permission, please e-mail jennifer[AT]grassrootsfundraising[DOT]org with the following information:

• Article or excerpt you wish to reprint (include title, author, and issue in which article appears).

• How you plan to use the reprinted material:
For training or event include # of copies being made, cost of attendance, type of event.
For reprint in a publication include # of copies distributed, audience, publication title, publisher, and publication date.
