The closest airports are (SFO) San Francisco International and Oakland International Airport. On public transit, it takes about 1 hour from either airport to downtown San Francisco. Driving, it takes about 20 minutes from SFO and 30 minutes from Oakland.

5 Important Things to Bring to Raising Change

1. Water bottle

Please help us make Raising Change greener and bring your own refillable water bottles! To cut down on plastic waste, we will not be providing bottled water for participants (there will be water available for presenters). We will have water containers and drinking fountains for you to fill your own bottles. If you're flying to Raising Change, you are allowed to bring an empty bottle through airport security.

2. Comfortable shoes

San Francisco is a walking town. You might not look as cute in your crocs or sneaks, but your feet will thank you.

3. Layers

In the summer, temperatures generally range from the low 50s to the low 70s. But if there's one thing we can count on in the Bay Area, it's that weather here is unpredictable (think 20-degree changes from one day to the next, and even from morning to afternoon of the same day!). The conference site does not have air conditioning or heaters, so please dress in layers.

4. A bag

We will have Raising Change paper bags for conference handouts and the program book, but you'll want to bring something sturdier for your own stuff.

5. A fun, fabulous fundraising attitude

We're all coming together to share, learn, be challenged, and try on new ideas. We hope we can all have a positive attitude and focus on building a collaborative, supportive community at Raising Change. Can't wait to see you there!

Date & Time

Please join us on Friday, July 25th and Saturday, July 26th, 2008

  • On both days, registration opens at 7:30 am and the conference begins at 9:00 am
  • On Friday, the conference will end at 6:00 pm , followed by a reception immediately afterwards. On Saturday, we will close at 4:30 pm .
  • We are also holding an informal get-together the evening before the conference on Thursday, July 24th . Please join us!

Locations

Parking is available at St Mary's on a first come, first served basis. We have 200 spaces available. We encourage you to take public transportation to the conference. To find the best way to get there on public transit, please use the San Francisco Bay Area's Trip Planner.
