The Clark Kerr Campus at UC Berkeley has
accommodations for our conference attendees. The rooms are dorm rooms that
can occupy one or two people and do not have private bathrooms. Each
floor has one central bathroom with private toilets, shower
stalls and wash basins. Rooms are cleaned and towels
are changed daily.
Lodging fees include two nights stay (August
3 and 4, 2006) and a full breakfast each morning. The rates
are:
Single occupancy $134.00 for each person
Double occupancy $96.00 for each person
Please note that we must receive this reservation
by July 19th to reserve you a room. There is no reduction
in price for late arrivals, early departures or missed meals. Cancellations:
Refunds can only be made if cancelled by July 19th.

If you do not wish to stay at Clark Kerr (please note that
this mean that you will need to drive or take public transportation
to the conference as these hotels are not within walking distance
to the conference).
Bancroft Hotel (510-549-1000): This 22-room hotel,
located across the street from the main UC Berkeley campus
and adjacent to the popular Cafe Strada coffee shop, is situated
about 7 blocks from the Clark Kerr campus. Rooms run $99-119
per night. Reservations need to be made in advance. You may

Durant Hotel (510-845-8981): This 140-room hotel is
located about 5 blocks from the Clark Kerr campus. Rooms run
$125 per night. The hotel has its own restaurant and cafe.

Claremont Resort Hotel and Spa (510-843-3000). This
Berkeley landmark is located about 10-15 blocks uphill from
the Clark Kerr campus. Rooms run $235-395 per night. The hotel
has many additional features such as a pool, fitness center,

French Hotel (510-548-9930): This 18-room hotel is
located in the heart of Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto across the
street from Chez Panisse Restaurant and approximately two miles
from the Clark Kerr campus. The French Hotel Cafe is located
downstairs. Rooms run between $78 and $130 per night.
Radisson (510-548-7920): This 375-room hotel is located
on the Berkeley waterfront. It is located about four miles
from the Clark Kerr campus. Facilities include several pools,
a fitness center, and restaurant. Rooms run $159-184 per night.

Hotel Shattuck (510-845-7300): This 400-room hotel
is located a short walk from the downtown Berkeley Bart Station
in the heart of downtown Berkeley's emerging theater and art
district. The hotel is located about 12 blocks from the Clark
Kerr campus. Rooms are $99 per night. You can visit their website

Rose Garden Inn (510-549-2145): This 40-room facility
has been a favorite of many Clark Kerr course participants.
It is located about 8 blocks from the Clark Kerr venue. Rooms
run $99-165 per night. Many restaurants and cafes are located

Holiday Inn (510-658-9300): This 280-room hotel is
located in Emeryville on the Waterfront, just five miles from
UC Berkeley. Facilities include a three mile jogging track,
an outdoor jacuzzi and a fitness center. Rates range from $99-159.00

one mile from the Clark Kerr campus, rooms run $90-140 per
