The Grassroots Fundraising Journal is proud to recognize the

The Building Movement Project was conceived out of
a meeting with twenty people working in small social change
nonprofits from across the United States. The meeting examined
the role of social change nonprofits in the larger sector,
and the constraints they faced in meeting their goals. The
results of these discussions led to the Building Movement project,
which is designed to explore and challenge (1) the current
assumptions and expectations of how US-based social change
nonprofit organizations should operate and (2) their impact

Grassroots Institute for Fundraising Training
(GIFT) develops
and strengthens the grassroots fundraising skills of people
working for social justice as our contribution to building
the movement. Because we believe movement organizations must
be effective and self-sufficient, our goal is to build the
capacity of progressive organizations to raise money and to

The Development Executives Roundtable (DER) is an informal
association of individuals - professional staff and consultants,
board members and other volunteers, as well as those exploring
new career possibilities who meet monthly to learn more about
all aspects of fundraising.
The National Community Development Initiative seeks
to build capacity for social change in communities of color
and other underserved communities in a culturally-based way. We
do this by providing consulting services that support organizational
development, training for consultants and community helpers,
