Plenaries and workshops will be held at Student Center East (SCE) and Student Center West (SCW): 101 Piedmont Road NE Atlanta, GA 30303.

Free parking is available for folks not staying on campus in Deck G. Here’s a map.

On-Campus Housing Info

At Georgia State University, we will be housed in the University Commons (141 Piedmont Avenue NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30303residence hall featuring a private room in two or four bedroom apartment style units. Restrooms are located in the units and are shared with one other person. All units come with fully equipped kitchens, furnished bedrooms, and living spaces. ADA accessible apartments are also available.

Arrival and Departure Information:  

Earliest Check-In: 9:00am  

Latest Check-Out: 12:00pm.  

The Front Desk is open 24-hours a day for your convenience.

Arrival Notes: 
Housing and Parking security will require you mention that you are part of the GIFT Conference or Money for Our Movements Conference, please reference this when you interface with them to park or move in.

If you are not the individual that made your housing arrangements, please ensure you have that persons name to reference just in case.  

Address
You will be residing in University Commons located at 141 Piedmont Avenue NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30303.  

Upon your arrival, if walking from MARTA or being dropped off, walk through the tunnel entrance at the northeast corner of Piedmont Avenue and John Wesley Dobbs Avenue. There is a security station on the left side; tell them your name and that you are a conference guest checking-in; they will open the handicap gate for you. Walk to the glass double-doors and knock. If you are driving follow the directions on the website and when you pull into the parking deck drive-way entrance, push the button on the grey pad and wait for an answer from the security station. Tell them your name and that you are a conference guest checking-in. They will lift the gate; drive up to the 4th level (Level P1) and knock on the double-door to the Lobby. If you have paid for parking you will be given a parking decal at check-in. Also, please know or write down your license plate number before you come to check-in, it is needed to register your vehicle and avoid ticketing.

Parking for University Commons and Piedmont Central will be provided within the University Commons Parking Deck

*Please advise prior to arrival if you need parking for large passenger vans or charter buses.

GSU Housing Rules & Regulations


Meals will be available in the Piedmont Central Dining Hall. Meals are buffet style, please click here for a sample menu. The dining hall has a wide variety of food available daily. If you have special dietary needs, please specify those needs in the space provided by GSU inside the reservation portal.

You can purchase breakfast and lunch for 7/27-7/29 as a discounted package through the online portal. You can also walk in and purchase meals a la carte. Approximate fees are as follows:

Breakfast: $8

Lunch: $10

Dinner: $14
